The Leadership Site Award Program
During the years 2004-2007, as part of California's second federally funded state improvement grant, twenty-eight high performing sites were identified through a rigorous competitive process. These sites were awarded for best practices in the areas of literacy, behavior, collaboration, transition and family partnerships. Sites have committed to the following:
- Continuously improve their model project through ongoing professional development activities including training in non-awarded core message area
- Participate in the CalSTAT Statewide Leadership Institute face-to-face meeting and online wrap-around services
- Provide three professional development presentations at regional institutes and/or local training events
- Develop program Web pages to be posted on the CalSTAT website
These sites are financially supported by CalSTAT to share their work statewide and participate as an ongoing member of the Statewide Leadership Institute.
