Overview: Point Arena Elementary and High School District

For the last four years, Point Arena schools have been utilizing a collaborative service model for their students and teachers. The elementary school and high school work in conjunction to align the services and interventions Point Arena School District provides its students. As we have seen this model at work, we have observed a drastic reduction in student referrals to special education and an increase in CST scores. The model provides diagnostic/prescriptive interventions, learning center/lab time for all students, as well as daily collaboration between general educators and special educators.
