Strategies: Mesa View Middle School
Student literacy profiles are created to match students to an appropriate intervention and to monitor progress. To create such profiles, STAR data, California English Language Development test levels, reading fluency rates, San Diego Quick scores, Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI) stanines, and curriculum-embedded assessments are used. The master schedule has been manipulated to support intervention and maximize teacher resources, such as experience and expertise.
Following the state framework, students are matched to:
Tier 3/Intensive programs (144 minutes a day):

Tier 2/Strategic Intervention (72 minutes a day):
Grade level language arts
