Titan Academy’s new Reading and Mathematics Enrichment Program integrates the larger school assessment process and academic intervention to the academy level to support and document student progress and needs on a quarterly basis. These assessment results are critical to the Student Study Team process. All students’ progress is monitored in reading and mathematics on a quarterly basis using the following assessments:

After the initial assessment, all students are placed in homogenous groups to enhance and challenge existing skills. Curricula are tailored to students’ academic needs and is delivered by Titan Academy’s general and special education teachers. Datawise, a data management and assessment product, allows us to easily maintain and access all of our student achievement information and disaggregate it as needed. Within Titan Academy, the Reading and Mathematics Enrichment Program enhances the extensive collaboration opportunities supported by the site and district administration. Our site administrator is integral in our work. She supports our collaboration through attendance at conferences or through funded staff development days prior to the start of school. This summer, Titan Academy teachers met twice to develop the enrichment curriculum and assessment model. Titan Academy’s collaborative weekly meetings support the fluid movement of students from reading and mathematics groupings to ensure continued progress and long-term success.
