Overview: Spring View Middle School

Spring View Middle School creates an environment to strengthen and nurture the belief that all students belong to all adults. High standards for academics and behavior are expected for all students.

The ILS/ SDC teachers are part of the 8th grade Titan Academy with four core curriculum general education teachers. In Titan Academy, thirty-one students with IEPs are served through RSP (9 students), SDC (17 students), and ILS (5 students) and are full members of the academy with 125 of their general education peers. RSP students are heterogeneously integrated into all core curriculum classes within the academy and receive additional support through the Learning Lab. Titan Academy continues to influence the larger school community through articulation at faculty meetings and district-wide committees.

As an indirect result of Titan Academy's efforts, a new 7th grade academy was formed for the 2006-2007 year to educate 7th grade RSP students and 60 general education students with two core curriculum teachers and an RSP teacher serving as the social studies and science teacher.
