Background
Serves adults ages 18-22

TRACE is the Special Education Program Division's transition program for adult students with disabilities (ages 18-22) who have exited high school without a diploma. TRACE is an extension of San Diego Unified School District, which provides students with a seamless transition from public school to adult life. Through TRACE, students and their natural support teams develop and implement Individualized Transition Plans, based in the students' interests and abilities, and use Board-adopted curriculum to develop skills essential to participation in work, community, and home settings. TRACE facilities are located on community college campuses, in storefronts, and in other age appropriate locations throughout the students' areas of residence.
