Technical Assistance and Training

CalSTAT Techincal Assitance and Training

Partners: Union Middle School

All parents and students are expected to participate in their IEP meetings and development. Parents are regularly included in the process and are invited to attend school and observe programs. Direct articulation occurs with the feeder elementary schools as students enter and with the high school into which the students matriculate. Administrators attend ALL IEP and 504 meetings and serve the role of updating the IoaP and ensuring that the fundamental goals of our program are supported by the direction of all IEP meetings. Our “Collaborative Approach” is not simply something we do; it is who we are. It reflects what we believe about teaching and learning; it illustrates our belief that ALL kids are capable of learning and succeeding. Our site budget, professional development, collaborative conversations, and time spent inside and outside the classroom reinforce and are reinforced by our Collaborative Approach. Parents, community members, district leadership, teachers, support staff, and students all support the continued success of our program.
