Leadership Sites
The Leadership Site Award program has recognized 40 sites over the past decade. These competitively selected sites have delivered over 400 distinct training events that have reached over 8,000 participants. Leadership Sites are awarded for their collaborative efforts in one or more of the Core Message Areas that includes literacy, behavior, collaboration, transition and family partnerships. These selected sites become members of the CalSTAT Leadership Community and serve as Leadership Sites.
CalSTAT continues to expand this community of collaborative research-based high performing program participants and will designate 10 new sites each year. Leadership Sites can apply to continue in their role once their initial award is complete and must meet specific benchmarks to be awarded continuation status.
In 2011, newly selected sites receive a $10,000 award plus $3,600 to give and receive professional development whereas Continuing Sites receive a $5,000 award plus $3,600. New and Continuing Sites are expected to deliver a minimum of 3 professional development days based on their model program. In addition, Leadership Sites commit to continuous improvement of their model project through ongoing professional development activities totaling 3 days including training in non-awarded Core Message Areas.
