    • California Department of Education State Tools for Program Improvement California schools and local educational agencies (LEAs) that are not meeting academic achievement goals are frequently required or recommended to administer state program self-assessment tools. These tools include the Academic Program Survey (APS) at the school level and the following district-level tools: the District Assistance Survey (DAS), the English Learner Subgroup Self Assessment (ELSSA), and the Inventory of Services and Supports (ISS) for Students with Disabilities.http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/ti/stateassesspi.asp
      • The Academic Program Survey (APS) is designed to help a school analyze the extent to which it is providing a coherent instructional program to support improved student achievement. The APS is to be used in conjunction with the District Assistance Survey (DAS), English Learner Subgroup Self Assessment (ELSSA), and Inventory of Services and Supports (ISS) for school and district analyses.       • The Family Engagement Framework (Coming Soon)
        The California Department of Education (CDE) engaged the assistance of the California Comprehensive Center at WestEd (CA CC) to develop a tool describing expectations and implementation strategies for integrated family engagement within State education programs. The Family Engagement Framework is intended to provide guidance to leadership in regions, county offices of education, districts, schools, families and communities as they plan, implement and evaluate strategies across multiple programs for effective family engagement to support student achievement and close the academic achievement gap.
