- Close the achievement gap by providing positive behavior supports within the classroom that ensure students are engaged in learning and lower the drop out rate.
- Highlight components of exemplary programs within X County and the southern California area, creating opportunities to expand learning and build leadership capacity within participants.
- Support efforts toward system change around the philosophy of creating positive environments utilizing a team approach, including families, for proactive planning and writing behavior support plans in a ‘response to instruction’ model.
- Implementing successful evidence based practices to create positive changes in student behavior and develop behavior support plans with accountability fidelity.
- Build communities of learners within and between districts and agencies to sustain ongoing learning and support beyond this Institute.
