Riverside County SELPA has 22 local education agencies (LEA) which provide special education services to about 28,500 students, with an ADA of about 273,300 students
Responsibilities of the Team: Maribel Caparas and Gail Angus are responsible for logistics of the Regional Institute including registration information. Jon Eyler is our liaison with PENT and will provide input in the area of behavior support planning and the needs of Non-Public Schools. Sue Balt will assist in the area of Culture of an Organization. Our partner from Riverside County Mental Health will be providing us with information regarding behavior intervention strategies and the perspective of a parent. The representative from Riverside County Office of Education will assist with creating an Institute that meets the needs of Program Improvement Districts and Schools, as well as the principal’s needs to create a system change. The local University partner will provide support and information in the area of Response to Instruction and research-based strategies for closing the achievement gap.
