Technical Assistance and Training

CalSTAT Techincal Assitance and Training

Team: Solano SELPA

The Solano County SELPA is composed of five school districts, Fairfield-Suisun, Benicia, Vacaville, Travis, and Dixon, and the County Office of Education.  The SELPA office coordinates with its members to provide a continuum of programs and services for disabled individuals from birth through 22 years of age.  As part of this effort, the Solano SELPA has supported the implementation of a Response-to-Intervention model in addressing behavior issues and discipline.  The Regional Institute responds to the need to support ongoing efforts in this area by focusing on building site-based leadership for sustainable change in behavior practices.  Planning includes county & district partners from General Education, Program Improvement, and staff development, as well as partners from Mental Health Services Act.
